Delivery in Houston
Houston is the centre of our network and the city everything else routes through. It is also the hardest place in the metro to deliver food well: a lunch drop downtown, a shift meal inside the Texas Medical Center and a corporate order in the Energy Corridor are three completely different logistics problems, and traffic between them changes by the hour. We schedule around that rather than dispatching on demand and hoping.

Local Detail
Delivering Across Houston
Houston covers more than 600 square miles, and "delivering in Houston" means something different in each part of it. A lunch order into a downtown high-rise, a shift meal inside the Texas Medical Center and a corporate order in the Energy Corridor are three different jobs — different access rules, different parking, different amounts of time between the kerb and the table. The pages for the surrounding cities describe their own local patterns; this page describes the city itself, and how a scheduled pickup has to be planned around it.
Downtown and the central business district
Dense high-rise offices, most of them with dock access, badge-controlled lobbies and freight elevators that are shared with every other delivery arriving that hour. The constraint downtown is rarely the drive — it is the last few hundred feet. Orders that need to be on a table at a set time are worth booking with that in mind, and it helps to tell us the dock or suite instructions when you book rather than at the door.
Texas Medical Center
A campus rather than a street address, with its own internal roads, garages and building-by-building receiving rules. Deliveries here are frequently shift meals and meeting catering on a fixed clock. The practical planning point is that the building name alone is often not enough — the floor, the department and whoever will meet the driver matter more here than almost anywhere else in the city.
Energy Corridor and West Houston
Corporate campuses along I-10 west, where the typical order is a team lunch, an all-day training session or a client meeting booked days in advance. These are large, time-bound orders — the pattern scheduled delivery is built for — and they are also the ones most exposed to I-10 congestion, which is why the pickup time is set backwards from the delivery time rather than the other way round.
Uptown, Galleria and Greenway Plaza
A mix of office towers, hotels and retail with heavy midday traffic and structured parking. Access is closer to downtown than to a suburban office park: expect a garage, a dock or a loading zone rather than a door you can pull up to.
The neighborhoods inside and around the Loop
Residential and small-commercial delivery in areas such as River Oaks, Bellaire, West University Place and Meyerland — private events, family gatherings and offices small enough to have a front door. Each of these has its own coverage page linked below.
How Houston geography shapes a delivery
Houston is organised around three rings — I-610, Beltway 8 and the Grand Parkway — crossed by I-45, I-10, US-59/I-69 and SH-288. Almost every catering route in the metro uses some combination of them, and the useful thing to know is that the ring you are on matters as much as the distance you are covering.
- Distance on a map and time on the road are different numbers here, and the gap between them changes by the hour rather than by the day.
- A pickup and a delivery on opposite sides of the Loop is a materially different job from two points inside it, even when the mileage looks similar.
- Because our pricing is flat-rate by distance rather than a share of your food order, the route affects scheduling — not what you are charged as a percentage of the food.
- We schedule pickup and delivery times in advance rather than dispatching on demand, which is what makes a fixed mealtime workable across a metro this size.
Planning a catering delivery in Houston
Most of what makes a Houston delivery go smoothly is decided when it is booked, not when the driver arrives. These are the things worth settling up front.
- Book against the time the food needs to be on the table, and let the pickup time follow from it.
- Give the receiving detail that actually gets the order to the room: suite or floor, dock or entrance, and a contact who will be there.
- Tell us if the building has a badge, dock booking or freight-elevator requirement — those are the constraints that most often cost time at the destination.
- If you are unsure whether a specific pickup or delivery address is within range, ask before you book. We do not guarantee street-level coverage of every address in the metro.
- Order from whichever restaurant, caterer or ghost kitchen you want. We transport what they prepare — we do not cook the food or sell it.
